Chartway Partnerships Group is delighted to announce that in partnership with Hyde Housing Association, contracts have been approved to develop a further 270 homes at the Spring Acres (Stones Farm) development in Sittingbourne, Kent. This is the final phase of the development, and the project is expected to be completed by March 2027.
Chartway has entered into a JCT D&B Contract with Hyde to develop the final phase at the highly successful Spring Acres housing scheme. On completion, the Spring Acres development will provide a total of 580 homes.
A mix of one- two- three- and four-bedroom homes, the homes will be delivered through the Homes England Strategic partnership grant funding and create a mixed-tenure, highly energy efficient neighbourhood in Sittingbourne.
Designed and to be constructed by Chartway on behalf of Hyde, Spring Acres will also include the creation of a 15-hectare country park, shops and a new sports court and drop off facility at the adjoining Landsdowne Primary School.
The creation of 15 hectares of new public open space, will see the planting of over 2,500 trees, including a community apple orchard located within Orchard Square. This mixed-use development will also include the construction of retail units and community facilities at Stones Square, further promoting new jobs, and will support businesses by using locally sourced materials.
The development will also feature electric vehicle charging points and solar PV panels to ensure the dwellings are self-generated. The removal of overhead power lines will enhance the local area and skyline.
