Chartway Group is proud to have spent this year supporting a local charity here in Kent, the Maidstone Day Care Centre.
Throughout the year, we donate a weekly food package from a local butcher to go towards helping them supply hot food. However, we felt that we wanted to do a bit more than this, so we collectively asked for food, clothing, and money donations.
Our construction sites and subcontractors raised over £1,200 in monetary donations, and all of our offices contributed by collecting food, clothing, sleeping bags and blankets, which is fabulous, so thank you to everyone who donated.
The support that the Day Care Centre provides is invaluable. Some of the services offered are listed below. However, this is not exhaustive, and they do provide lots of other services:
- Hot food
- The use of showers
- Regular GP and mental health nurse clinics
- Helping to find accommodation
- The comfort of a lounge to keep warm and relax in
If you would like to make a donation, please contact the centre directly on 01622 674064 or visit their website at www.homelesscare.org.uk
