We are delighted to announce that Chartway Group, under the banner of Westerhill Homes, is the proud Presenting Partners for ‘Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade’. This will be a major event in Maidstone and the surrounding areas.
This is a public art installation and the first of its kind in Maidstone. The star of the show is ‘Elmer the Patchwork Elephant’, and there will be over 40 Elmer Sculptures at various locations forming a trail in the summer of 2020.
It is a collaboration between the Heart of Kent Hospice, creative event producers Wild in Art and independent children’s book publishers Andersons.
The sculptures will be available for sponsorship by local business and community organisations, and a different artist will uniquely design each one. The Westerhill logo will be shown on all of the sculptures and also on all of the marketing and press coverage.
Other key supporting partners so far are the KM, Scarbutts Printers, Clive Emson Auctioneers, Maidstone Borough Council and the Gallagher Group.
The trail, when installed, will provide a fun, family-friendly public art event that will not only raise money for the Heart of Kent Hospice but will bring the people of Kent, local businesses and schools together.
Elmer is one of the most iconic and widely read children’s book series of all time, and for those of you that have not met Elmer before then, she will soon be a familiar face to us all.
